Have
you ever had one of those awful embarrassing moments when you blush
uncontrollably in an awkward situation? You can feel the heat in your
body slowly rising from the tips of your toes right up to full blown
facial mortification. The sensation of heat in your armpits begins to
tingle as sweat beads break the skin, and your forehead starts to
glisten with a shiny layer of perspiration. The more aware you are of
the symptoms, the worse it gets. Slowly, as you begin to calm down,
you can literally feel the blood levels subside and a slight chill
nearly takes over your body.
These
are just a few of the symptoms of rocacea; you could also get eye
problems, thickening of the skin along with out breaks of spots that
you thought you'd seen the last of years ago. Eyes are another area
rosacea can affect with a feeling of itchy sore eyes the symptoms for
some are worse than others.
There
are quite a few ways rosacea can be tackled; it's best to trot off to
your GP and see what he/she suggests. You may be prescribed
antibiotics or other creams or lotions – alternatively your GP may
send you to see a dermatologist.
There's
also over the counter treatments (both online and on the high street)
which may help you fight the symptoms or perhaps use them in
conjunction with prescribed treatments but always check with your GP
first as they may not be compatible and end-up doing more harm than
good.
(Please
note that my views are impartial and I'm not recommending any
particular skin treatment).
