As we grow older the natural colour in
our lips can start to fade. This faded look can make you look much
older than you really are, so here's 10 quick tips to help keep your
lips in tip-top condition.
1. Try adding a touch of concealer to
the corners of your lips to give your lips an instant pick-up.
2. Get a subtle, natural look by using
lip stain rather than a coloured lipstick.
3. Use a lip brush to work the lipstick
into your lips rather than just smearing a lipstick across your lips
straight from the lipstick-wand. The colour will last longer.
4. When using a new shade check the
colour in both indoor and outdoor light – the shade that's right
for you is one which compliments and enhances your natural skin tone.
5. Drink plenty of water so that your
lips aren't dry – dry lips can be a sign that you're dehydrated.
6. Exfoliate your your lips using a
lip-scrub which is formulated not to be too harsh or abrasive.
7. Never leave home without wearing
lipstick or sunscreen as they're prone to harmful UV damage – look
for lipsticks which include a sunscreen. During the winter apply
Vaseline before going to bed to help your lips stay moisturised and
help prevent cracked, chapped lips.
8. Unhappy about any chemicals you may
be licking? There's plenty of lipsticks ranges that only use natural
ingredients.
9. Ensure that your lip liner is no
more than a shade darker than your lipstick and blend the two
together.
10. If your lips have lost their pout
you can use a lip plumper without having to use painful filler
injections.
Follow these few simple tips to help
keep your lips and your lipstick luscious!
