Mature Make-up
Enjoy growing old gracefully
Skin Care News
As I’ve already
discussed in my post Rosacea Treatment the symptoms of rosacea can be
debilitating for thousands of people and while there’s help to be had from your
GP or by using over-the-counter remedies.
The latest news is that Mirvaso is
the first FDA approved topical treatment for rosacea. Marvaso is a gel that’s
applied twice daily. It works by contrasting the dilated blood vessels that
cause the facial redness and is said to last up to 12 hrs.

Be Guided by the Stars
You may not have the budget of the stars and indeed you won’t
have your own makeup artist, but you can take inspiration and be guided by the
stars when it comes to applying makeup.
One thing you’ll notice is less is more – there’s never an
overload of foundation, eye makeup or lipstick. Neutral shades work well on
mature skins and compliment grey hair beautifully.
Blusher should be swept up across the cheek bones to produce
a natural glow and lift the face. Nothing too harsh which will make you look
clown-like.
Eye makeup should also be applied with the less is more
approach, a light dusting of eye shadow – powders are good because they don’t
lay in the creases of the eyelids. A thin line of eye-liner is great for making
the eyes appear more open – black can be harsh looking on pale skin, so opt for
brown or a colour that compliments your eye colour.
Make sure you apply lipstick with precision; there’s nothing
more dreadful than seeing an over-load of lipstick which bleeds into the fine
lines or end up on your teeth! Always blot after applying to help it stay in
place.
