Tips to a Brighter Skin

Being a teenager isn’t easy and neither is it being older! The and images of perfect models, young and old, displaying perfect bodies and clear skin are evident everywhere. Old wives tales and instant remedies are on the tips of every young girl’s tongues. I recently spotted, (excuse the pun), my own teenage daughter smearing toothpaste, mixed with brown sugar, all over her face in the misguided belief that it would clear her spots!

The best advice to give someone who is prone to outbreaks is to encourage them to keep their skin well hydrated by drinking plenty of spring water and cleansing daily with non-chemical soaps. This gives the pores less of a chance to clog up and thereby cause those hard to shift black heads, but it also allows the skin time to breathe. And of course, a good night’s sleep is worth its weight in gold, that valuable time when the skin naturally renews itself. A good acne skincare routine will give them the best chance at clear, youthful looking skin.

Start with a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser, then gently exfoliate, tone, and moisturise the delicate parts of your face. Choosing one of the great products that are now available online will ensure that your skin is given the chance it deserves to shine.
